Rare Moroccan tribal rug from the Azilal province (dated circa late 80’s/early 90’s). Lustrous natural wool Berber rug with oversized diamond design woven in dark black wool. Each diamond features a simple red lozenge shaped tribal motif. These abstract tribal motifs vary in size – larger towards one end becoming increasingly smaller along the piece. Gorgeous tribal detail in the weave.

This is an incredibly beautiful Berber rug of a very fine quality. A classic and handsome vintage Azilal tribal rug – a sound investment. Rugs of this calibre are now very hard to source.
